New Flat Plans

I have created new flat plans for my magazine and film poster as I have changed my mind from my initial ideas. I wanted to post these to show the examiner what I wanted my poster and magazine to look like now.

Film Poster

Colour: Like my magazine I wanted to keep the colours on my poster to a mininum. I chose the main two as grey and dark pink as I wanted the main focus to be on the main image and this really helps demonstrate the story line.
Lighting: I wanted the lighting on my poster to be quite bright which would reflect the happy love story which my trailer will be. I didn't want the sad element to my trailer to be shown on my film poster there for bright lighting was key. This also helped clearly see actors facial expressions.
Fonts: I  want the same font as one of my insperational texts. This is because I feel it fits in well with my story line and will stand out well as it is quite bold. This font is called Largo SG.
Layout: For the layout of my poster I want the main image to be the main focus meaning I dont want much on my poster. I want the actors names at the top as this is conventioanlly where you would find them on real life film posters. I want to keep the lay out plan and simple in order to create a effective and story telling film poster.
Models: I chose to use these two actors as they were a couple in real life so it wouldnt be awkward to try romantic postions and body langauge with them. This will really help with my shots.

Film Magazine

Colour: I wanted to keep the colours very basic. I want to use three main colours which are red, grey and black. These type of colours come from my insperational texts and look very effective and clear so i wanted to reflect this idea on my work.
Main Image: I wanted my main image to be very bold and eye catching. I want to use a medium shot image so it is enough of the model to show body language and feelings. I am going to dress my model to fit in with the colour scheme of my magazine.
Lighting: I want the lighting to be very bright on my actors face. This will help catch the audiences eye of the main image first and help reflect the mood behind the front cover.
Fonts: As for fonts I want two use two types of fonts. I want my masthead and  Main sell line to be in 'Times New Roman' as this will reflect the olden day setting but then the mast head and other sell lines to be in a big bold font which is normally a key convention to a film magazine.
Layout: I chose this layout for my magazine because after looking at many different professional film magazine i realised many of the layouts were quite plan and simple but felt this looked very effective which is what i wanted to portay in my magazine.
Model: I chose to use this model as she is very photogenic and not afriad infront of a camera. This was good as she wasnt afraid to try different shot types and poses.

I changed my initial ideas as I thought my new and improved ideas would look more professional and believeable to readers.
