I didnt want to put my clips in order as this could tell a story and i didnt want that as i wasnt doing a short film but a trailer which is very quick moving and not in order. The idea behind it was just a quick flash of what the actual film would be like. The first thing i did when i started with my trailer was included my logo and a green band cerificate. After that i added my music. I planned on using only two songs but when i focussed closely on my inspirational trailers more i realised they had about 4 songs so i decided to do the same and use 4 different songs and using exponential fade mangaing to put the music together nicely making it sound professional and smooth. Underneath is what the effects bar looks like when using premiere pro.
Within my trailer I used a variety of editing techniques. I used many cross dissolves in my trailer as after watching my inspirations I realised these were used a lot to change between scenes. I used Exponential fades in the music to change between songs so the sound changes weren't cut. On the clips with sound I changed the Audio gain too 20 so that I could hear the voices over the music in the background. I added voice overs the same as the music just into another audio layer and once again changed the audio gain so you could here them. At the beginning in my of my trailer I used still images for dramatic effect and added words on these images to tell a story to the audience. To create an old fashioned look to my clips I turned down the brightness and darkened the clips. This also helped create a sad feel to my trailer as on the happy scenes I kept the brightness up High to show a contrast between feelings. For the credits at the ended of my trailer I just added a title into my trailer and then added text. I used cross dissolves to create the flowing effect.
