Music Choices and Sound effects

For my trailer i narrowed my four music choices down to two. I chose these two final songs for my piece as one has a link to the story line of my film and the other is a gentle relaxing song which will set a good mood to the trailer.

Through out my trailer i am going to use some instrumental versions of the songs as well as the lyrical versions. The reason for this is because some times i just want music playing in the back ground behind the actors voices and others on the more dramatic scenes like arguing scenes i want the chorus of i wont give up playing with the voices of the actors muted. The music plays a very important part to my trailer as it brings emotion, makes everything more dramatic and makes the trailer flow.music is important in a film because music changes the audience's emotions which give them a more positive view on the film by varying the music, either to make the audience happy, sad, excited and much more engaged in the film.

I know that the music i have chosen is not my music but the artists.

Sound effects

 

 In my trailer I new I didn't want many sound effects as this would ruin the theme and mood of my trailer. I looked at my main insperational text the Dear John trailer and loved the idea of one of the sound effects. This was the small cymbal noise that happened when the main two actors names appear. In the dear john trailer you can hear this at points 2:01 and 2:04. Apart from that, I dont have any other sound effects in my trailer apart from voice overs which personally I would class as a sound effect.

 

Voice Overs.

 

 I wanted to use voice overs in my trailer as a narrative and to tell the story. In my trailer I have 4 main voice overs in my trailer. These included:-

 

• "From meeting you down at the race track billy to falling in love with you, I always knew you would be by my side and help me through everything that lay ahead."
• "today we fight, tomorrow we fight, the day after we fight"
• " I need you to be with me, to help me, to hold me, to love me.
• "If its possiable to send a message from heaven, I'll send my love to you"
